We the members of IDA Alappuzha are so privileged to host the dental fraternity of Kerala on behalf of IDA Kerala State for the most anticipated annual gathering of the year, the 55th Kerala State Dental Conference namely Alcon24. Alappuzha with its enchanting landscapes, laced on the West by the golden stretch of the beaches of the Arabian sea networked by silvery rivers and natural fresh waters, serene lagoons and Majestic Palm grooves on the east has now matured into a prime backwater tourist destination.
A brief history about Us:
The Alappuzha Branch of Indian Dental Association was officially come into existence on July 15, 2001 with strength of 34 charter members. State President Dr Thomas Philip inaugurated the branch with Dr. Ravindran Nair as the Charter President and Dr Prashanth Jacob as Charter Secretary. From a humble group of 34 members the branch has grown in to it's present strength of 152 active members.IDA Alappuzha has proved its mettle by organizing various state level programs successfully including the mega event of 48th KSDC named "Aloha". Some of the notable state level programs includes,
- State Level CDE program in 2008
- State Cultural Extravaganza - Chilamboli - which was a thunderous success.
- State Level Anti-tobacco day Program in 2010
- State Students Dental Conference named "Xtract" in 2015
- 48th KSDC named "Aloha" in 2016 still cherishes in the minds of many.
- State Dentists Day Celebrations in 2017
- State Level CDE program in 2024.
- State Executive Meeting in 2024.
